Hotel lobbies are often one of the more impressive areas of the hotel. After all, a good first impression goes a long ways. Some hotels have grand staircases that split in two directions, others have fountains, and some invite guests back with the warmth of a cozy fireplace.

Even in a warm climate, a cozy fireplace can be a welcome sight after a long day of sightseeing and excursions throughout the area. It creates a welcoming atmosphere. When it comes to fireplaces in hotel lobbies, these hotels did an impressive job building theirs.

W Boston – Boston, Massachusetts

The W Boston is a boutique hotel located in the Back Bay of Boston. This hotel is one of the most modern, fashionable hotels in the city. The W offers 235 rooms in the Theatre District of Boston. The rooms offer great views of the city of Boston.

In addition to great rooms, a great bar, and luxurious on-site restaurant, the W Boston has one of the most unique fireplaces around. This circular fireplace offers chilled New England visitors a place to quickly warm up after venturing back from the cold.

Ayres Hotel – Manhattan Beach, California

The Ayres Hotel is inspired by European style throughout the premises. Located in Manhattan Beach, this popular luxury hotel is situated close to LAX International Airport. From the outside it may look like a standard hotel but the inside boasts the European charm.

Among the luxurious European decor is the hotel’s prominent, 400 year old fireplace from France. This ancient stone fireplace is absolutely magnificent and immediately transforms your mindset from the chaotic city of Los Angeles to a quaint European villa.

JW Marriott San Francisco – San Francisco, California

The JW Marriott in San Francisco is located in the area known as Tenderloin, or Union Square. JW Marriotts are known for their elegance and this one does not disappoint.

The 338 room hotel boasts one of the more unique structures for a fireplace, with its frame extending outward towards the room.

Millenium Hotel Minneapolis – Minneapolis, Minnesota

If you’re going to have a hotel in Minnesota, having a fireplace in the lobby is a good idea. Luckily the Millenium Hotel, located in downtown Minneapolis does have one.

The hotel’s lobby fireplace is elongated allowing more guests to feel its warmth. It features three glass panels, open for guests’ to view.

The Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel located in the Window City features a glimmering lobby fireplace for patrons to enjoy.

Guests returning back to the hotel are usually coming in from blustering winds and chilly air. The extra long fireplace in the lobby exudes heat to provide warmth for the chilled guests. The fireplace is behind a glass pane and is entrenched in the shimmering golden walls.
