City Hotel Spotlight: Miami, FL

hotel pool area designWe’re going to Miami! Well, sort of. We’re going to feature Miami, Florida for this month’s city spotlight which unfortunately is not at all like going to Miami. If you haven’t been to Miami yet, finish reading this post, book a room, book a flight or gas up your car, and get going. The city has some of best clubs, bars, restaurants, and beaches in all of the U.S. It also has some of the best hotels.

Hotel Beaux Arts Miami

If the name “Hotel Beaux Arts Miami” sounds fancy, that is because it really is. This hotel is a mix of contemporary design with a fistful of luxury thrown in. The deluxe rooms have a gorgeous view of downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. Everything from the bathroom to the bedsheets is decked out in luxurious Italian finishes. One special room, L’atelier, is absolutely decked out with the best features including the most contemporary furniture, incredible views, and giant contemporary artwork.

Diners will be pleased with the options offered at Hotel Beaux Arts as well. DB Bistro Moderne, Met Cafe & Bar, 345, and Intermezzo all provides guests with much needed fuel after a hot day under the Miami sun.

InterContinental Miami

Architect Pietro Belluschi built the InterContinental back in 1982 and it quickly became a premier luxury hotel in Miami. It happens to be the only hotel that has a lobby built around a work-of-art. The 18-foot, 70 spindle sculpture creates one of the most impressive focal points you will ever see in a lobby. And if you think an 18-foot sculpture is impressive, you’ll be even more impressed by the 34-floor hotel itself with pristine views of the Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, and the Port of Miami. Now you just need to book yourself one of their 641 guest rooms.

EPIC Hotel

Finally, we have a hotel so epic they, well, named it EPIC Hotel. This luxurious downtown Miami hotel was listed as one of the world’s 500 best hotels by “Travel + Leisure”. Off the cusp, listing out 500 hotels may seem like a lot. However, you’ll think twice if you just Google “hotel in my area”and see the plethora of results that show up. This urban, luxury resort comes fully equipped with a spa and cocktail lounge.
